HBCH Houston Wellbeing Forum

Friday, September 19, 2025 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

The Houston Business Coalition on Health is excited to reintroduce a unique opportunity for those leading workplace wellbeing initiatives to connect, collaborate, and share ideas with their peers in the Greater Houston area. Currently, there is no organization not an organized group of practitioners/experts in the Houston marketplace solely dedicated to advancing workplace wellbeing within our community.

The Houston Wellbeing Forum aims to change that — and you’re invited to help shape its future. Dr. Jesse Gavin, Well-Being Officer for Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), has graciously volunteered to spearhead this effort.

Since launching BCM’s wellbeing initiative in 2014, his team has earned multiple honors, including the 2018 WELCOA Well Workplace Award, 2019 C. Everett Koop Award Winner, and 2023 C. Everett Koop Award Honorable Mention. BCM also consistently ranked among the nation’s Healthiest Employers Top 100. Dr. Gavin also serves on the Board of Directors for The Health Project and multiple committees for the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO).

This inaugural virtual meeting will focus on:

•What resources, programming, and connections members want the Forum to provide
•Sharing best practices, vetted resources, and ROI measurement tools
•Exploring the revival of an annual wellbeing recognition program honoring Houston’s top initiatives

We are also looking for members interested in leadership roles as the Forum develops. Join us to help create a thriving community for workplace wellbeing in Houston!
