COVID greatly accelerated the development and use of digital healthcare tools. While employers embrace the potential value of these new technologies to enhance healthcare delivery, they are confused on how to select and what to expect and by their utilization. Digital health apps range from providing a platform for services such as virtual doctor appointments and chronic-disease management to consumer health apps that help people manage their own health. Employers are besieged by the ever-increasing number of supportive digital apps.
This program will provide employers with insight on how digital technologies are transforming delivery by traditional and non-traditional healthcare providers. It will also provide a guide that can be used by employers to select and what to expect in terms of cost reduction and outcomes. Finally, several providers of digital solutions will demonstrate how they support and enhance traditional in-person care.
